Signs your roof took storm damage
- Dents on gutters, downspouts, vents or the air conditioner
- Shingles missing, lifted or creased after high wind
- Granules washed out of the downspouts in large amounts
- Dark spots on shingles where hail knocked the granules off
- New ceiling stains or attic leaks after the storm
How we help with the insurance claim
We inspect the whole roof, mark and photograph every hit, and give you a written report you can send to your insurance company. When the adjuster comes out, we can meet them on the roof so nothing gets missed. Once the claim is approved, we build your roof to the scope your insurer agreed to.
We are a roofing contractor, not a public adjuster. You stay in control of your claim, and we give you the documentation to back it up.
Do not wait too long
Most homeowner policies require you to report damage within a set time after the storm, often one year and sometimes less. Small hail bruises also let water in over time, which turns a covered storm loss into wear and tear the insurer will not pay for. Get the roof looked at soon after any major storm.
A word about storm chasers
After big storms, out-of-town crews knock on doors across Northeast Georgia. Before you sign anything, ask for a local address, proof of insurance and references from nearby jobs. Never sign a contract that hands your insurance claim over to the contractor.
